Gift Tag

Today I created a tag for the tag challenge over at Joan's Garden. Every week Joan has a tag challenge and this is my first time entering. I wanted something simple that could be used for a guy. To me THAT is a challenge!
I cut the tag and words with the Cricut using the Doodletype cartridge and  Bazzill paper.  The hearts were cut with the smallest scalloped heart nestabilities. The white heart is Mulberry paper. I also used the Lace Heart Edge Punch from Martha Stewart. The ribbon is Offray.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Follow your dreams

Happy Saturday! Today I have a card to share that I made for a friend's engagement. How exciting to be starting out on a new adventure, full of hopes and dreams. This is a 6 1/2" by 5" top-fold card, layered with black cardstock, both from the Paper Company. The black and white print is from Best Occasions. I used the All Occasion Nested Sentiment from JustRite Stampers and the border is from the Victorian Nested Frames, also by JustRite Stampers. The flowers are from Michael's.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Gift tag

I had never thought to make a gift tag. Have you? The other day I came across several while looking at blogs and it was like a lightbulb went off in my head. Why not try it? I really like the end result.  I cut the tag using my Cricut and the cartridge Plantin Schoolbook. The paper is from K&Company. I added a second butterfly. flowerbud and leaves elevated on pop dots for the 3D effect. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. I will definately be making more of these.

Thanks for stopping by!

Loving my Cricut

It's so cold here in VA but I really can't complain, not with the 52" inches we got last winter. I am thinking about everyone that has snow swirling around them right now.
This cute little bird card is for my sister-in-law's birthday and she's been iced in for a while so we both needed a touch of spring. I used my Cricut (which I am so in love with) and the Cricut Solutions cartridge Home Decor. It makes me think of cherry blossoms when I look at it.
The paper is from The Paper Company.

Stay warm!

Hey monkey

It has been an absolutely gorgeous Labor Day weekend here in Northern Virginia. I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Thank goodness we were spared the wrath of hurricane Earl! Most of my weekend has been spent inside packing to move the beginning of October but I did send a little time making a card for my son to give his godson for his birthday. Once again, I used my Cricut and the Create A Critter cartridge. A very guick and easy, peasy card! Paper is from The Paper Company.

Thanks for stopping by,

Victorian lady

I finally have a different camera so I hope my pictures will look better. What a fun learning process this is.

I love the accents that are on each corner of the card. I'm sure they have a name but I have no idea what they are called. I cut these and the cameo out with my Cricut using the Heritage cartridge. I wrapped a piece of pink ribbon from Michaels around her neck along with a pink gem from Memory Box. I mounted her on white cardstock cut with an oval Spellbinder Nestabilities embossed with the swiss dot Cuttlebug folder. This was mounted on the pink scalloped oval. I used pop dots to set them up from the card. All paper is from the Paper Company.

I hope you're having a great weekend!

Wedding card

I made this card for a friend's wedding. The paper is from the Paper Company and the ribbon is from Michael's. I used my Cricut Expression to cut out the Mr & Mrs using the Sweetheart cartridge on gold metallic cardstock.

I promise to work on my photography!
